my experience in using technology in teaching

Pupils nowadays are so hard to please. They are having a hard time listening to teachers for minutes. But let them sit in front of television or computer and magic! their attention are focused on it. They can even remember every single detail of what they watched.
Ive tried giving them variety of activities to catch their attention and help them learn better but i had a hard time doing it because of the large population of the class i am holding right now.
One time, I was doing a powerpoint presentation for a district contest about photosynthesis. It was recess time and my pupils noticed that i was doing something on the computer. they all gathered in my back. I let them watch the presentation ( which I Inserted a video clip ). After watching, I asked them , "Did you learn something from the powerpoint?" They said "yes ma'am. I don't believe on what they told me so i asked a series of question about photosynthesis. Surprisingly, they answered almost all of the questions correctly. So this is it. This is what they have been looking for in class fof them to learn better. Now, as much as possible , I prepared powerpoint presentation for my class and download some useful clips that will help in facilitation of learning inside my class. Pupils now are beginning to be aware of the technology that can help them learn better but the problem are the following:
1. availability of materials
2. knowledge of the teachers in using the technology
There are lots of software program that can be used in presentation of lesson like moviemaker, power director etc. But the problem is the preparation of the materials. It is very time consuming to prepare those. In addition to the fact that teachers have to prepare lesson plans, class records, etc. It is just additional burden for teachers.
